FAQ - Payment Gateway | Experience True Flexibility and Security

Merchants

Occasionally a bank or issuer may ask a customer for proof of purchase. “Retrieval” is a notification of this request. The Retrieval Process becomes a merchant’s responsibility to provide proof of purchase to Allied Wallet within 5 (five) days of receiving the notification.

We recommend that merchants avoid customer-filed charge backs by providing excellent customer service and fulfilled promises. Also, clearly stating the transaction descriptor in the checkout process will help mitigate customer confusion. If a chargeback is filed, we recommend that the merchant provide a signed payment affidavit from the customer along with a copy of the customer’s identification.

Please allow up to 48 hours for payouts to be received by your financial institution.

Payouts are granted on a weekly basis for all processing 12 (twelve) days in arrears. Holdback Charge payouts are granted after 6 (six) months of rolling reserve status.

Allied Wallet accepts and processes payments from cards displaying the Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, JCB, China UnionPay, Sofort, Klarna, Giropay, Maestro, Cartes Bancaires, Direct Debit, and VPay emblems or from users of the Allied Wallet's eWallet.

To change the bank account where you receive payouts, please visit the bank account update page in your merchant portal.

Terminated accounts will receive payouts on the fifteenth day of the month following the 180th day, after the last [positive] settled transaction using the standard payout method used on your account.

Our Accounting Department will provide individual links via e-mail enabling merchants to view their statements. Merchants also have access to their reports within the gateway in which they can view their weekly and rolling reserve payouts.

A rolling reserve is a pre-determined percentage of gross sales that Allied Wallet will withhold for an agreed upon period of time as stated in your processing agreement. We ask that our merchants keep a rolling reserve as added security for the merchant and provider alike. The Rolling Reserve can be withheld for 1 (one) to 6 (six) months depending on the agreement made in your Terms of Agreement.

Consumers

Allied Wallet is an IPSP (Internet Payment Service Provider) that gives merchants the ability to accept credit cards online via credit card processing, multi-currency merchant services, state-of-the-art payment processing, digital eWallet solutions, and a PCI Level 1 payment gateway. Explore our About page to learn more.

If you purchased a product from a website using Allied Wallet, the descriptor will have an "ALW*" in the prefix signifying it is an Allied Wallet transaction. Next to this will be the Company Name of the website owner from which you made your purchase. Lastly, you’ll see the customer service phone number that you can call for information regarding the transaction. If a charge meets these criteria and is unfamiliar, continue on to the next question

If there is a charge on your credit card that you do not recognize and the descriptor fits the criteria mentioned above, please contact us using any of the following methods:

If you believe your purchase to be a mistake or fraudulent, contact your bank and dispute the charge or you can file a dispute with us at https://www.alliedwallet.com/support/

Please contact us at support@alliedwallet.com and we can contact the merchant and issue you a refund.

We only offer one account per user. Your account can be funded and linked with different credit cards, but sole ownership of multiple accounts is prohibited.

Most transfers will show up in your account immediately. When you fund your account with your credit card, the transfer will take place once the transaction is approved by your credit card company. After purchasing goods or services from a merchant, the transaction should show up in your account as soon as the merchant accepts the transfer. When transferring money to another user, the transaction will appear delayed until the user accepts your transfer.

We do not process for the purchases or sale of: unlicensed content, spyware, phone minutes, existing debts, digital cash, spending accounts, gift certificates, coupons, rebates, vouchers, securities, stocks, bonds, deeds, sweepstakes, gaming, gambling, sport betting, wagers, wagering pools, lottery tickets, warez, pirated software, pirating tools, hacking tools, http/tcp proxies, irc/ircd, bnc, eggdrop, remote bots, shell accounts, dial-ups, dial-ins, spamming tools, fake ID tools, credit reports, anonymous proxies, proxy lists, password lists, email address lists, postal address lists, or any materials endorsing or encouraging violence, hatred, revenge, racism, victimization, or criminal activity.
